What will I learn?

  • This course provides an introduction to the Responsive Communication approach

  • Gain insight into the significance of sensory experience in the lives of autistic people

  • Differentiate Responsive Communication from other ways of supporting autistic people

  • Understand, via the use of case studies, how the different elements of Responsive Communication complement each other to provide openings for connection and communication

How is the course delivered?

​

  • Short films that include case studies, taught sessions, lived experience, and reflective exercises​

  • Reflective Journal that contains activities to complete and a space to record personal insights. The Reflective Journal can be kept as a reference document and added to after the course. You will find links to further reading and resources in your Reflective Journal

  • Interactive activities to identify learning achievements

  • Transcripts are available for many of the forms
